Pharmacy Dispenser
Role Overview:
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum, depending upon experience
Hours: 0800 – 1800, Monday to Friday
Location: Basildon, Essex
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Role Summary:
Mamedica are looking to recruit an experienced Pharmacist Dispenser to join our Pharmacy team, based in Laindon, Essex. The post holder will ensure the safe and effective running of the dispensary, meeting the organisation’s timeframes for medication dispatch.
Role Duties:
- Perform basic prescription checks on patient’s name, drug name and strength, dosage form and prescriber’s authenticity on the prescription
- Download and redact prescriptions from FP10 Inbox
- Order medication according to prescriptions received and raise relevant Purchase Orders
- Complete any tasks related to Purchase Orders
- Dispense and label medications correctly
Qualification/Experience for Role:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths preferred
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensary required
- Extensive dispensary experience within relevant Pharmacy setting, ideally within a UK hospital
- Experience helping to lead a team desirable
- Experience using MS Office desirable

Mamedica is a private clinic, with linked pharmacy, which specialises in assisting patients who may not have found satisfactory results for their conditions via their existing medications. We work with consultants specialising within pain, psychiatry, neurology, palliative care and cancer, so our patients can receive their prescribed medication directly to their door, via next-day delivery service. Our prescribed medicines are produced and manufactured according to the pharmaceutical-grade EU-GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice.)

Prescribing Pharmacist
Role Overview:
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Hours: 0900 – 1800, Monday to Friday
Location: Holborn, London
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Role Summary:
We are looking to recruit an experienced Prescribing Pharmacist to join our Clinic team, based in Holborn, London. The post holder will be triaging patients and supporting with prescriptions to ensure a smooth and effective patient experience, clinically supporting the organisation.
Role Duties:
- Patient triaging
- Supporting prescription rewrites, repeat prescriptions and with queries
- Working under shared care for repeat prescriptions
- Working to ensure all clinical activities are up to date and compliant
- Communicating with patient GP, if necessary, both in sourcing information and responding to queries
Qualification/Experience for Role:
- MPharm degree, or equivalent, required
- Valid registration with GPhC required
- Prescribing Course required
- Extensive experience as a prescribing pharmacist, ideally within a relevant UK setting
- Experience with using prescribing software, Zendesk (other equivalent platforms), and MS Office desirable

Clinical Pharmacist
Role Overview:
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum (depending upon experience)
Hours: 0900 – 1800, Monday to Friday
Location: Basildon, Essex

Role Summary:
Mamedica are looking to recruit an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team, based in Basildon, Essex. The post holder will ensure the safe and effective running of the dispensary, meeting the organisation’s timeframes for medication dispatch, managing queries & complaints.
Role Duties:
- Verifying the patient’s name, drug name and strength, dosage form and prescriber’s authenticity on the prescription
- Clinically screening prescriptions
- Ensuring adherence to SOPs to medication handling, storage, dispensing and documentation
- Confirming proper storage of medication according to their specific requirements, such as temperature, light exposure and humidity
- Maintaining detailed records of medication dispensed to patients, including the patient name, drug name, dosage, duration of treatment, medication’s expiry date and repeat history
Qualification/Experience for Role:
- Master’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent
- Valid GPhC registration
- Experience using MS Office (Excel)
- Extensive experience working as a qualified pharmacist, ideally within a UK hospital setting
- Experience leading or managing a team desirable
